Doorwell puts a short pause in front of the apps you'd rather open less. You write one line about something you're grateful for, watch the water for a moment, and then the door opens.
If something isn't working, or you just want to tell me the pause is the wrong length, write to Helpfultools08@gmail.com. It reaches a person.
Doorwell asks for Screen Time permission during setup, and the gate cannot work without it. Check Settings ▸ Screen Time is turned on, then open Doorwell and confirm your chosen apps are still selected. If you skipped the permission prompt, you can grant it again from inside the app.
Doorwell only transcribes speech when your device can do it entirely offline, so your voice never leaves your phone. On devices or languages where on-device recognition isn't available, the microphone is hidden rather than quietly falling back to a server. You can always type instead.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by Doorwell, so cancelling happens in your Apple Account rather than in the app. Go to Settings ▸ your name ▸ Subscriptions, choose Doorwell, and cancel. If you cancel before the free trial ends, you are not charged.
You can also open that screen from inside Doorwell, under Settings.
Refunds are decided by Apple. Doorwell has a Request a Refund button in Settings that opens Apple's own form, or you can go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
Tap Restore on the subscription screen while signed in to the same Apple Account you bought it with.
It stays on your phone. There is no account and no server. The privacy policy explains exactly where everything is stored.
